Is 9x2yz a trinomial with a degree of 2, 2x^3y + y^2x – 3x + 4 = 3rd degree polynomial, and 6x^2 = 2nd degree binomial?

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

is the first one supposed to be 9x^2yz ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

okay, so a trinomial is a polynomial with 3 terms, and if you look at the first polynomial does it have three terms?

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

x, y and z are terms...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know, I just want to know if I got these right.

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

ok, I know the first two are right, but the last one I'm not sure about

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

I know the last one is two degrees but not sure if its a binomial...

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

the last one is a 2nd degree monomial

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

because it only has one term

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks.

OpenStudy (strawberry17):

ur welcome :)
