The sum of three numbers is 26. The second number is twice the first and the third number is 6 more than the second. Find the numbers.

OpenStudy (nathan917):

let the first number be x second number will be (x+6) third number will be 2x now given x + x + 6 + 2x = 26 4x = 20 x = 5 therefore the three numbers are 5, 11 and 10
