IMPORTANT LINE RELATED EQUATIONS TO KNOW AND MEMORIZE slope formula m= slope/ gradiant -- same thing \[m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\] standard formula \[Ax+By=C\] point-slope formula \[y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\] slope-intercept formula b= y-intercept -- in the form of (0,y) \[y=mx+b\]
read through that, if you still dont know how to calculated slope, say something
okay i m am reading it now, I will let you know if I understand it
use the slope formula.
okay i did is m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) m = (-2 - (1))/(4-2) m = (-2 + 1)/(4-2) so far i did it this way, is it correct? @completeidiot
if it correct then what do I do next? @completeidiot @jim_thompson5910
m = (-2 - (1))/(4-2) this part is correct you dont need to switch the sign of 1 you just solve for m to get the slope, because it is linear, the slope between all the points will be the same
thanks! So is -2/3 the answer then?
-3/2 not -2/3
