WILL GIVE MEDAL. PLEASE HELP. What is the measure of AB? Find the measure of the arc. (Picture below.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer would be 115?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a circle the central angle is of 360 degree...and the length of the circumference is \[2\pi r\] and if the angle is 115 degree then the lenght will be \[2\pi r \div 360\times115\]

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

@KingAditya plz explain it one by one!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am doing the same.. @mayankdevnani

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yaaa... i know....okk for your convenience .. suppose i need to solve this prob.. but i can't do it!!! plzzz explain me!!!! can you???

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

can you.. @KingAditya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

plzz....

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

i am waiting!!!!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U know the angle around the centre in the circle?

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yaaa 360 right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And 360 degree covers the whole circumference.. then whats the value of the circumference of the circle?

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

i don't know????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

formula of the circumference of the circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the radius is 'r'

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

\[2\pi r\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now if i want the arc around 1 dgree...then what will be the value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

R u thr? @mayankdevnani

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yaa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait... So the answer is 115?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or do I have to do 2πr÷360×115

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yaaa @marcoduuuh the correct answer is 115

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

any confusion????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks! @mayankdevnani

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
