I am taking English 1020 and we have to write a "Claim of Policy' essay. It is kind of like a solution paper. I am having trouble even getting started with the paper. I know kind of a solution, but just having a hard time getting started with the paper and it has to be 8 pages.

Write a claim of policy, recommending what should be done (providing a solution) to the problem you have previously discussed in your claim of fact and claim of cause/effect. Essentially, your claim of policy should define the problem, describe its causes and/or effects; present your solutions, showing that they are feasible, and conclude with a call for action. Your claim of policy paper should smoothly incorporate material from your previous paper (claim of fact or value), including previous research material (evidence). For this final argumentative essay, you will want to make sure to address the counter argument in your paper. Read closely in The Purposeful Argument to find more information on the counter argument. You must provide evidence when addressing your counter argument. As with all argumentative essays in this course, you must provide relevant and sufficient evidence to back your own original points.
