How do you go about finding the total weight of a population, starting with a sample size?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using a sample? And what do you mean by "weight"? If you mean kilos/pounds, then, assume that the average sample is a good representation of the average population, hence, multiplying the average by the population size, you have an estimate of your population based on your sample.
