plse help me There is a manufacturing company who sold furnitures at the rate of Rs 31,300 per unit cost which is inclusive of 5% VAT. calculate the basic cost (exclusive of VAT) for 250 furnitures sold by the company.

(Basic Cost) + VAT * (Basic Cost) = (Retail Price) Basic Cost = (Retail Price) / (1 + VAT)
Basic cost =31300/(1+0.05)
That's it. Now multiply by the number of units.
250*[31300/1.05]
