OpenStudy (anonymous):

a charged particle moving in a magnetic field will be deflected in a direction ____________ to the magnetic field

OpenStudy (john_es):

"perpendicular", you can know this from the Lorentz force. The magnetic part is, \[F_B=q\cdot v\times B\] so the magnetic filed will do a force perpedicular to the velocity of the charged particle and the magnetic field.
