Does anybody know of an actual, physical graphing machine? (e.g. some kind of mechanical device where you could have a paper laid down on it and have a function with some particular range as an input and have it draw a graph for you?) I think I saw something similar a long, long time ago that someone made for an art project, but I don't remember. This topic has interested me for a while, but I can't seem to find much on the web about it.

I shouldn'tve said range; it would have been better to say "with some particular closed, bounded interval".
