Doing a roller coaster project for 10th grade honors geometry. Had to develop a formula to create a roller coaster with 3 hills. Does anybody know what a maximum y-coordinate is?? I'm supposed to find that for each of the hills.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The highest point of each hill is the y coordinate because y is vertical in the Cartesian plane.

So, I'm just looking for the highest point of the hill and that's it? I should just have one number then, as opposed to an ordered pair?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That depends on whether they are just asking for the y coordinate or the ordered pair, I guess.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well since it just says the maximum value of the y-coordinate of each hill, I'll assume it's just that. Thanks for all of your help! I'm really struggling with this project and it's due tomorrow.
