OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would i draw this and label it? thats all i need help wtih

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1366315298625:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

s= d/t (=) d = s*t don't forget that the angle to northeast is 45ยบ This helps you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what are the sides? and the angle would be 45? right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@e.mccormick do you have an idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1366493403141:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

s = d/t d1 = s*t = 42*1 = 42 miles d2 = 42*0.5 = 21 miles 21cos(45) = 14.85 21sin(45) = 14.85 how far is he from its first position??? .: sqrt( (42+14.85)^2 + (14.85)^2 ) = 81.76 miles

@Mertsj

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

TeenaMathew is this a trig exercise?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes its the law of cosines

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

then the graph is really all you need :), if the outside angle made is 45degrees, what would be the adjacent one? or its complimentary

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually im sorry it is a precalc question..nothing to do with graphs...just problem solving

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

tis ok, trig is before precalc anyhow
