Quadrilateral WXYZ has vertices W(-3, 4), X(1, 8), Y(8, 7) and Z(-2, -3). The quadrilateral is an isosceles trapezoid.

I said true @kausarsalley am I right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is false.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an isosceles trapezoid has two of its sides equal.....so this means that if you calculate the distances between the coordinates given and any two have the same value, then it means you have an isosceles trapezoid...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the distance formula??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it says that if you are finding the distance between two points \[(x _{1},y _{1}) and (x _{2},y _{2})\] the distance between this two points is given by \[d=\sqrt{(x _{2}-x _{1})^{2}+(y _{2}-y _{1})^{2}}\] d is the distance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I have one more question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've been stuck on this one
