A parallelogram with two adjacent congruent sides is _____ a rhombus.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. often B. never C. always D. sometimes

OpenStudy (ash2326):

A parallelogram with adjacent sides congruent can either be a square or a rhombus. What do you think should be the correct option?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D or A but leaning toward D :/

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Yes, it's right depends on other conditions so it has to be "sometimes"

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

small catch... In any parallelogram opposite sides are congruent. Since it is given that two adjacent sides are also congruent... that makes all sides congruent. so it is always a rhombus.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@ganeshie8 it can be square too

OpenStudy (ash2326):

oh yes, you're right.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yep
