A skydiving company insists that its customers weigh at least 125 pounds, but no more than 285 pounds, including parachute and other gear. If the total weight of all gear is 30 pounds, write and solve a compound inequality that represents the weight range without gear that is acceptable.

125x+30<(or equal to) 285. I think that is right.

OpenStudy (espex):

Close, they ask for a compound inequality statement, so you must use 'x' for the customers weight to get an equation of: \[155<=x+30<=285\]
