Hey everyone i want to know how shall i start preparing for the SAT.... and when shall i give it in June or in Oct??

Well, you should always take notes. Taking notes is always number one so you could remember everything. Also don't forget to ask questions if you don't know. Because you want to get the right answer not the wrong. Give it in, I'm not sure. That's mostly up to you.

I am preparing by myself at home....i need to know the exact time i need to give for preparing for the sat and also what shall i begin with....how shall i learn the new words and build vocabulary.....moreover i have jus net 20 days for June exam and 2 months for Oct exam....what shall i do?? Please giv an exact answer....thanks

Oh, well. If your preparing yourself at home. That's totally different, you learn new words and vocab in your books that's why you have them. Just study words, doesn't even matter which. Um, for the rest I'm still not sure. Are you home schooled?

no i am not home schooled but i prefer to study for sat at home because i am a high school senior and so am busy with AP and IIT JEE tests....so i need to know.....how to prepare by myself....

I know that for preparing for the ACT I did a LOT of practice test. Then I went through each test and checked WHY I got a problem wrong. It really helped, on my first ACT (as a 7th grader.) I got a 22. :D.

I do have a tip for the SAT though.. I heard somewhere that each correct answer is a point, and each incorrect answer or unanswered is subtract .25 of a point. So my tip is even if you don't know it, GUESS! :D

Another thought, all my older college friends who have taken it say it is much easier than the ACT, so you should find yourself getting high marks. :D Don't feel bad, it is just a test, do your best! :D
