If a triangle has side lengths of 11 cm, 12 cm, and x cm, find the range of possible values of x. A. –1 < x < 23 B. 1 < x < 23 C. 0 < x < 1 D. 11 < x < 12

there are 2 things to investigate here.... based around the 1 idea... the sum of the shorter sides in a triangle must be greater than the longest side... so if 12 is the longest side... the unknown side must be greater than 1 to be able to draw the triangle. then if the unknown side is the longest side it can't exceed the length of the sum of the known sides... 23... you just now need to combine this information into an inequality

so what does this mean what is the answer
