Gametes have two sets of chromosomes. one allele for each gene. twice the number of chromosomes found in body cells. homologous chromosomes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Gametes have b one allele for each gene and.. Gametes are produced by the process of B. meiosis

thomaster (thomaster):

gametes have one allele for each gene ;D Because a gamete contains only one set of chromosomes; none of the chromosomes are homologs , so there is only 1 gene (and, therefore, only one allele) for each trait.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it is c _( twice the number of chromosomes in body cell

thomaster (thomaster):

It's not C, a gamete is made to combine with a gamete of the other sex (gametes are sperm and eggs). So they have half the number of chromosomes found in body cells. THey combine and form a zygote which contains the same number of chromosomes found in a body cell.
