The odds that a random card from a deck is black is 26:52 There are 2 ways of viewing whether a card is "even" or not: If queens are deemed "even" and jacks and kings are deemed "odd", then the odds that the card is odd is again 26:52 OTOH, If face cards are neither odd nor even, then the field of even cards in a deck is reduced to 20:52 So the odds of a random card being black and even when Face cards are included as "even" are 1:2 * 1:2 Face cards are NOT included as "even or odd" are 1:2 * 5:13
