a 200g block is pressed against a spring of force constant 1.4kN/muntil the block compresses the spring 10.0cm the spring rest at thebottom of a ramp inclined at 60 degrees to the horizontal. Usingenergy considerations, determine how far up the incline the blockmoves before it stops. (a) if there is no friction between the block and the ramp, and (b) if the coefficient of kinetic friction if 0.400

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think you need to take into account the fact that in the upper point of the spring's motion (when it stops) his kinetic energy is zero ,but can you see why?and can you draw a diagram for the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't know how to diagram this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its important to draw diagrams so you can understand the physical meaning of spring's oscillation ...can you understand that at the upper point of the spring's motion the kinetic energy of the system is zero?

OpenStudy (mos1635):

no oscillation here......
