Things like bleech (sodium hypochlorate), various amines and other hazardous chemicals are very common in cleaning supplies. Of course if you have a gas heater, stove or even if you use biomass--you will have various benzene type wastes from the combustion (benzo[b]fluoranthelene).

Properly recycling from in house, or composting, or trying to not purchase things that generate hazardous wastes are all ways to reduce ecological issues.
