I can't decide whether it is 332 m^2 or 322 m^2
Help? @qweqwe123123123123111 @nathan917
Heheh...I got nailed with a similar problem last night and really screwed it up until I figured out every possible combination and realized that what "they" meant by lateral area wasn't what I instinctively figured they meant. But I can figure this out. Just gimme a minute to stare it down... :-)
Id say 332 m^2. Not sure.
Okay. I'm going to take "lateral area" to mean the area of the 3 rectangular faces. That means perimeter of a base times the height. So the perimeter of each base is: 2+5+5.39, and the height (even if it's laying on its side) is 26 So I'm getting 322.14
Aww... Now I'm confused... :(
how did you get ur answer @nathan917
I think im wrong i going to go with qwe.
Here ya go, Claw!! http://www.sophia.org/lateral-area-of-a-prism--2/lateral-area-of-a-prism--4-tutorial The problem I had last night was with a rectangular prism, and what *I* figured were its "bases" wasn't what the teacher/professor/instructor was calling the bases. But this one's easy. The triangles are considered the bases here. :-)
Thank you. So, i'm gonna go with 322 is that good?
That's what I would put!! :-)
Amazingness! :D
Blush! And thank you!! :-)
