Help please. If a colony of cyanobacteria were added to a colony of anaerobic bacteria, how would the oxygen produced by the cyanobacteria most likely affect the anaerobes? It would encourage the anaerobes to grow. It would eventually kill the anaerobes. It would keep the anaerobes from moving around as quickly. It would make the anaerobes develop mitochondria.

OpenStudy (tanya123):

These bacteria do not function in an environment with oxygen. In fact, oxygen is toxic to these types of creatures. So your correct answer would be 2 - It would eventually kill the anaerobes.

Ok that makes sense thanks for explaining it.

most welcome!
