try to plot it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rate of change is not constant.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why would it be that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rate isn't constant. It changes from 2 to 3 to 4 to etc...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the rate of change is not constant is true but you need to see why...if you take y/x for every 2 values you get a different number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes...so it is true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try to plot it and you will see something about the linearity of this function...if it is not a straight line after you plot it the function is not linear
