well i think u might have to go to the website and check the requirements. and requirements vary from univ to univ and country to country.. For Uk they look for grades till collage and before and personal statement , recommendations.. as for USA you need these plus there is SAT , MCAT and idk many other tests u need to do, further on essays.. Well this much i know was needed an year back.. dont know about right now.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@nubeer :- thanks..... can u say anything more about the SAT and MCAT....

OpenStudy (nubeer):

hmm for USA u do need to take the SAT test.. some required SAT 1 and SAT 2 .. and u might need more then 2000 in SAT 1 to get into good university.. dont know about MCAT havent took that test.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

MCAT is for graduate students who want to pursue medicine. for Highschool students, they generally take SAT, ACT and AP to gain college credits.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

it's NOT the same as in India or some parts of the world where you can immediately enter medical school - you need to have a bachelors degree first and preferably in the science department.

as far as I know each university has a preparatory program for foreign students. I think you just need get higher than specific score and you over it. but if unfortunately your specific university has not this preparatory program I'm sure you'll be able to find at least one government organization who helps students from other countries. good luck :)

OpenStudy (blues):

It depends on the country and it depends on the program. In North America (US/Canada), the MCAT is the standard entrance exam to Medical Doctorate programs. Some colleges here also offer Ph.Ds in medical science - which are not the same thing as an M.D. - and some people with Ph.D.s in related biologic fields find work at hospitals doing research and work in various fields like 'translational biology' or crafting advances in basic research to clinical applications. Most Ph.D. programs in biology do not require MCATS. Though they do require the own sets of higher standardised tests, which are similar.

OpenStudy (blues):

And luck. You need much of that. And money.
