factor polynomial 3rs-2r-3s+2

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

try factoring by grouping: 3rs-2r-3s+2 = 3rs - 3s - 2r + 2 = 3s(r - 1) - 2(r - 1) notice (r - 1) is common to each term so can you continue?

no still confused

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

well as (r - 1) multiplies both 3s and -2 we can 'take (r - 1) out' and write : (r - 1)(3s - 2) and this is the final answer

but i though you took out r-1
