Solve. 3x2 = –21x – 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get it into the form of ax^2+bx+c and then you can factor it :D

OpenStudy (gorv):

take 3 common x2+7x+5=0 solution x=(-7+(29)^1/2)/2 x=(-7-(29)^1/2)/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dont get it help please

OpenStudy (gorv):

apply the formula for calculation of root of quadratic equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so first we should get everything on the same side so its =0. so to do that we would subtract 3x^2 to get -3x^2-21x-15, now personally i dont like working with negatives so if you multiply it all by -1 you will get 0=3x^2+21x+15, does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks I got it but can you stick around I have a couple more problems that I need help with?

OpenStudy (gorv):

telll mate :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure :D sorry OpenStudy was lagging really bad on my computer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its fine thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you please put this in the form?
