10 y^2 -3 y -18 ( 5y + 6 )( 2y - 3 ) solving for y ?????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20y^2 - 6y - 36 Dividing all by "2" 10y^2 - 3y - 18 by using Factorizing method we can split them. (5y+6)(2y-3) [Note: If you multiply it again, you'll get the previous numbers.] In first Case: 5y + 6 = (y = -6/5) Second Case: 2y - 3 = (y = 18/ 3)
