I am from K12 as well. You just have to differentiate from the equality in both the stories. In MLK's letter, it is about the rights of equality for African Americans, and he is persuading others to jump the barrier of unjust laws. In Harrison Bergeron, the obsession over equality had destroyed society. People have been forced to lose their individuality. Hope this Helps!
