plug in 2 instead of x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how do you times a negative number?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
up or down?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
multiplying with negative number is exactly same as multiplying postive number except if one of those numbers is negative than the answer is negative as well but if both of those numbers are negative then answer is positive i.e.
-1*6=-6
6*(-1)=-6
-1*(-6)=6

whats the result you are getting?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
not working >.< im on Khan Academy and i put -14 for the question above
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-7*2 is indeed equal to -14 but your question is -7x+6=-7*2+6=-14+6 so you forgot to add 6
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then i put -20 and still no
OpenStudy (anonymous):
-14-6=-20 but you have to add 6 to -14

Its still saying its wrong i put it in already! -20 is wrong
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes -20 is wrong because you have -14 and you have to add 6 so the number will be less than -14
