Hey guys... I need help in these questions: 1. The hydrocarbon terpinene was found to distill freely in steam at a temperature of 95C when the atmospheric pressure was 744mmHg. The vapour pressure of pure water at this temperature is 634mmHg and the distillate contained 55% by weight of terpinene. Calculate the molecular weight of terpinene? 2. Explain what is meant by Rf value. 3. Discuss with respect to sigma and pi bonds why some organic compounds r insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents.
