staring at a blank paper
hoping time will go by faster
looking at the clock
but it's only a minute later

watching the raindrops
roll down a window
looking at my watch
still wishing for the night
soon it will be better
soon it will be alright

7 o'clock waiting for my ride
7:15 finally he arrives
hopping in his shiny black car
shaking out my drenched umbrella

I turn and smile
look him in the eyes
peck a kiss on his cheek
and tell him
"I've been waiting for this
My whole life."
