What is the value of x in the isosceles trapezoid shown below?

OpenStudy (unicornpoopcookies):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in an isosceles trapizoid, the two bases have the same measure (2x). And in any quadrilateral, there is a total of 360 degrees. Does this help you a bit?

OpenStudy (unicornpoopcookies):

Yeah i know that but i still dont understand or know where to start do i set it up as (10x+24)(2x)=360?

OpenStudy (unicornpoopcookies):

if so then 12x+24=360? then i subtract 24,like that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's actually 2*(2x)+2*(10x+24)=360 because there are 2 of each angle
