If ten basketball teams are to play each other two times in a season, how many games will be played? I know it sounds a little silly, but I got two hundred, and that sounds a bit radical.

every team needs to play each other twice. So each team will play 18 games each. There are 10 teams so 10*18=180. However each match comprises of two teams so we need two divide this number by 2. Hence... 90 games.
