OpenStudy (anonymous):

the surface area of the figure formed by the net is the same as the area of all the figures in the net

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also, because this is a net and has to fit together perfectly, it forms a cylinder of radius 2 inches and height 10 inches the formula for surface area of a cylinder is 2*pi*r*h + 2*pi*r^2

@Nick2019 does this answer your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you do the problem please becuase i have like 20 i need an exaple @Peter14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2 \pi r h+2\pi r ^2\] plug in the values \[2 \pi \times 2 \times 10+2 \pi \times 2 \times 2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or are you asking how I know it's a cylinder?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait so were do i put the 4 and 10?? can you just do the problem? @Peter14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 is the diameter of the circle. The diameter is twice the radius, so the radius is 2. 10 is the height of the cylinder

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 2Pie10*2 + 2pier2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where the r in the last part is also replaced by a 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait my brother just helped me thanks anyways lol
