is jazz music hard to play on drums?

yes

I think it all depends on how you learn things. Like if you pick things up fast it problably wont be hard but if you dont pick it up as fast it might be hard.

In my opinion, jazz is one of the harder styles to learn simply because of the swing patterns, the off beat rhythms, but is also one of the most fun because it expands your reach and ability of what you are able to play.

Well it depends on what type of drummer you are. For me I find jazz incredibly easy to play on drums because it is very free and you can use your musical ear to fit in fulls that make the piece more appealing to the ear. Usually with jazz music the drummer is given the style of the piece (like offbeat swing for example) and then you can have fun with it and add your own twists. To test out what type of drummer you are all you need to do is switch from on beat to offbeat. If you have troubles doing that then your likely better at rock.= and not jazz :)
