Can somebody please suggest me how to remember priorities of functional groups in organic chemistry?

-COOH, -SO3H, COOR, COCl, CONH2, CN, CHO, CO, OH, NH2,C=C, C triple bond C

Pure effort. Perhaps those in the chemistry group would have better suggestions - biologists are notoriously bad at chemistry, at least according to the chemists.

for an introductory, there's not much to read about them, so just make sure you read about the functional groups more than three times :P
