OpenStudy (anonymous):

((1 + h)^2 -1) / ((1 + h) -1) is supposed to be: h + 2 I get: 1 + h What am I doing wrong?

hartnn (hartnn):

how you got 1+h ? even i get h+2

hartnn (hartnn):

denominator is just 1+h-1 = h what you got for numerator ?

Directrix (directrix):

I got h + 2. There's a difference of two squares in the numerator. One of those factors divides out with the denominator. Is there more to the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seems it's an id10t problem. Thanks :)

hartnn (hartnn):

means you got h+2 now ?
