What is the exact difference between semi permeable and selectively permeable?

the differences is that semi- permeable only lets in and out molecules small enough to fit through period selectively permeable has channel proteins that allow bigger molecules to fit through

Semi-permeable membrane describes a membrane that allows some particles to pass through, where as the selectively permeable membrane "chooses" what passes through. Basically, selectively permeable membranes are very picky.
