A solid figure is made of a rectangular prism with a cylinder on top, right in the middle of it. What do the interior faces look like?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4*4*8= __^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is for the Rectangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please can someone help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whatdidu get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know that is why I need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U don't know how to multiply 4*4*8?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh sorry its 128

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good. :D That is the volume for the Rectangle part of the figure. (128^3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would the interior be squares or rectangles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now the formula for the Cylinder is πr^2*h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r= Radius h=Height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

>_< why am I so stupid :( All of this is so confusing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not stuipid! :D Just learning

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So would the interior be squares?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ClawTalon

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We already solved the rectangles area. We are now solving the cylinder. We do that by putting the Radius into the Height multiplied by π. Are you folloing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cylinder is πr^2*h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the Height of the cylinder? What is the Radius?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well 28.26?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's incorrect. Do you know that the (^) Means Square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[πr ^{2}*h\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So is it rectangles, squares, circles, or trapizodes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please tell me :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

84.78 is the Cylinder. Sorry before, computer was being a butt. Then you add the two Volumes together. 128+84.78= Your Answer
