I'm just preparing to start the course. Can anyone advise me whether Python 2.7.4 would be OK to use for the course? Or should I stay with 2.5.x (the version of 2.5 that is the latest is 2.5.6)? Thanks

yup go for that because a most linux version comes with that and python 3.0 x has some different sintaxes.
For starters it is quite sufficient

Would like to ask another question, but can't discover how. Sorry, this is not a reply to the above.
