Help with one matrix equation?

[4 3][y]= [-2]

I don't know how to make the brackets correct, but 2,1,4 and 3 are in the same matrix, x and y are in the same matrix, and 10 and -2 are in the same matrix.

Here's one way to solve this matrix equation

Step 1) Find the inverse of the matrix below

2     1
4     3


Step 2) multiply both sides on the left by this inverse matrix, this will isolate both x and y at the same time

x=16 and y=-22 is correct

not sure how you got x = -14, y = 18 Hoa
