Guys please tell me "how" i mean seriously "how" to study high school senior year chemistry, Specifically this chapter: Chemical Kinetics.....please help.
read the book, do the problems, it doesn't hurt to do more problems than those assigned.
@aaronq see i need to remember the concepts for long,,,,,tell me a way by which i can remember for a longer time....i mean increasing retention capacity....will just reading the book help?
understanding the concepts is essential, don't memorize how to do the problems, learn why they are solved the way the are solved
ya but wat abt imp definations and derivations and also explanations.......just reading is enough or making notes is better?

obviously make notes, id suggest to even rewrite it in your own words
then what should be the format of notes....i tend to be a perfectionist and put everything on the text in my notes for the fear of missing out any stuff......maybe i am driving you crazy but i really need to know.......i am confused plz help me figure out what needs to be done.
lol well everything you think is important should be in your notes, your notes are just something to help you remind you of the details, the concepts should be (hopefully) engraved in your head.
Ok......so this is wt i consider my plan of action now......please give your suggestions to improve it........first i will read the text along with which i will solve the problems that appear in between then i will do the exercise and practice problems then after 2-3 days i will make some notes of the text. Is this fine or shall i add something or reduce something..?

i think you should take notes first then do the problems.. if you can do all the problems, specially the last ones
@aaronq ok thanks....but i really tend to lose my time writing my notes properly still you recommend me to write the notes first?
unless you have a test coming up where you need to be able to solve problems, then do the problems first. but if you have time do the notes first
i do have a test in a few days......and i am also supposed to study organic chem which is my weakest pt. Please give me a few suggestions for Organic chem also.....

what kind of organic chem? like naming? stereochemistry? synthesis?
@aaronq For the test i have to prepare ethers, Aldehydes and Ketones(Preparations, Chemical Reactions, Nomenclature) otherwise i have to do all high school organic chem topics and by high school i mean class 11 & 12 india....give me tips for the specific Ethers, Aldehydes and Ketones and general tips for OC.
i find organic chem to be kind of tedious memorizing, specially in terms of reagents, which it helps to understand why they're used and why the mechanisms are the way they are. naming is easy, just practice it, memorize the reagents and practice the mechanisms. nothing much to it really
@aaronq Alright thanks a lot Aaron, helped me a lot today.......have a great day/night(as per your country timing)
no problem, good luck studying !
