A rectangular box of negligible mass measures 5.0 m long, 1.0 m wide, and .50 m high. How many kilograms of mass can be loaded onto the box before it sinks in the lake.

I got 2500 kg. Might be incorrect but I wanted to check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to know the density to answer this question. are you filling the box with water??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mass=volume*density

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it is water, mass=(5m*1m*.5m)*(1,000 kg/m^3)=2500 kg <-- what you got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes Thank You. I knew the density because My book told me I guess I should've let you guys know.
