Which sentence is correct? 1. Amy reported she participated in no extra-curricular activities. 2. Amy reported she did not participated in extra-curricular activities.

1

well to me number 2 looks correct but im not sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first one is right. The second one is definately not correct.

To me, they both seem incorrect in their own way. I think it should be "Amy reported that she did not participate in extracurricular activities." or "Amy reported that she did not participate in any extracurricular activities." "Extra-curricular" definitely is spelled wrong; there is no hyphen.
