Find P?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (nubeer):

not getting the question here.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the basic rules of probabilty, how would you find P?

OpenStudy (nubeer):

well yeah i know but probability of what. 1 2 3 or 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the table? 1,2,3, & 4 all have to add up to 1, witch they do. but the question is find P, i dont know how to find P

OpenStudy (nubeer):

hmm well P is probability .. so i dont know either what the question is asking for .. its very unclear.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yah, theres a equation for it, i just dont understand.. Hahah this is the full question.

OpenStudy (nubeer):

well not a 3 makes me think it should be 1- 0.15= 0.85

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was .85! how did you get that?

OpenStudy (nubeer):

well in pic it says P(not a 3) means it dont want to include 3 so just avoid the probability of 3 .. and add the rest of them P = 0.3+0.4+0.15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks!
