Binomial Theorem: find the fourth term: (3x^2-y^3)^10 I got -12597120x^12y^12 and I was wondering if i had it right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The problem to insert into Binomial Theorem: \[(3x ^{2}-y ^{3})^{10}\] The answer i got for the fourth term: \[-12597120x ^{12}y ^{12}\]

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Fourth term (10 C 7)*(3x^2)^(7)*(-y^3)^(10-7) -210*262440*x^(14)*y^9 -262440x^(14)*y^9 So the fourth term is really -262440x^(14)*y^9

oh i had that on my paper! i just wrote down the fifth term! ahh! i fail at life! but thank you sooo much!:)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're fine, you did very well in my book
