Each answer choice shows the measures of the three angles of a triangle. Which triangle is an acute triangle? a. 30, 30, 120 b. 40, 50, 90 c. 20, 50, 110 d. 50, 50, 80

An acute triangle is a triangle that the square of any two sides are greater than the third side. A right triangle is a triangle that the square of two smaller sides are equal to the third side. An obtuse triangle is a triangle that the square of the two smaller sides are less than the third side. The only triangle that satisfies those criteria is D, 50, 50, 80. Frankly, A, B, and C are not even real triangles, they are degenerate!
