A triangle has area 9x^2-9x-10. The base is 3x-5. What is the height? Helppp pleaseeee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is Algebra 1, right? 9x^2-9x-10 Factor it first, and then you'll know what to do because one of the factors is 3x-5.

How do i factor it? (the first oart, 9x^2-9x-10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean the first part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area is 0.5*base*height so equate area to the formulae 9x^2-9x-10=(3x-5)*h hence h=9x^2-9x-10 / 3x-5 divide and get the answer

height is 3x+2......
