What are the solutions of the quadratic equation below? 4x^2 - 30x + 45 = 0
Hi
wanna explain this one ?
Sure :D
Any ideas where you would start?
$$4x^2 - 30x + 45 = 0$$Solve for x.
Use the quadratic formula.....\[x=-b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}- 4ac}/ 2a\]
@xcaseynoel Have you covered the quadratic formula in class?
i take online classes, so i have to learn it myself.
Have you learned it yourself?
nope, hence why i put it up here...
The general form of a quadratic trinomial is $$ax^2+bx +c$$
Can you identify the a, b, and c in your question: $$4x^2 - 30x + 45 $$
4, -30, 45
Correct :D
so then what do i do?
@xcaseynoel quadratic formula is really easy just go through any video about it......best reference will be khanacademy. U will understand easily.......answer to this question: \[x=\frac{ 30+6\sqrt{5} }{8 }\] Or \[x=\frac{ 30-6\sqrt{5} }{8 }\]
@xcaseynoel hope you got it......
