6x^2+5x-1

OpenStudy (john_es):

I suppose is, \[6x^2+5x-1=0\Rightarrow x=\frac{-5\pm\sqrt{5^2-4\cdot6\cdot(-1)}}{2\cdot6}=\frac{-5\pm7}{12}\] So the solutions are, \[x_1=2/12=1/6;\ x_2=-12/12=-1\]
